Google Releases Top 10 for 2014

The search giant winds up the year with a list of top 10 searches for the last 12 months. iPhone6 gets the position of top consumer electronics searches. Flappy Bird tops the list of gaming searches. Jennifer Lawrence overshadows Kim Kardashian in the most-searched people’s list. Robin Williams tops Google’s list of most-searched terms for 2014 - for global and the US list.

The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence beat Kim Kardashian as the most Googled celebrity in 2014.

Coming back to the biggest events of the year, the FIFA World Cup is definitely the top one. “From Luis Suarez’s bite heard around the world, to Tim Howard’s superman performance versus Belgium, to Germany’s incredible run to their fourth title, the competition certainly lived up to its reputation and topped the charts,” Google said. 
 
 
The most talked about matches in this season were Brazil vs Germany, Germany vs Argentina, and Brazil vs Chile. 
 

In the athletes category, James Rodriguez tops the list, followed by Michael Schumacher, Ray Rice, Luis Suarez, and Neymar da Silva Santos.
 

The big news stories in 2014 were mostly gloomy and tragic

Here are the most viral videos on YouTube; Mutant Giant Spider Dog (SA Wardega), Nike Football: Winner Stays, and FIRST KISS secured the top three positions.

Sunny Leone tops the list of the most searched people in India, followed by Mr. Narendra Modi, the honorable PM of the country. In the category of actors and actresses, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif got the first positions in the concerned list.
