Kolkata Readies for Durga Puja

Kolkata, the city that truly lives up to its name City of Joy, is decked out in bright and colourful lights, pandals with different themes, and unique sculptures to welcome Goddess Durga. The celebrations, not limited to Kolkata, have gripped the entire Eastern India (West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Odisha,  and Tripura). It's one of the biggest festivals celebrated in Eastern India. From dhakis beating drums at pandals, revelers enjoying pandal hopping to crowds gorging on street food - the celebrations know no bounds.
