Some people just love to talk, some belong to the so-called elite class thus only speak to Twitter celebs, some only RT, some keep favoritizing tweets, some share knowledge, while some people just prefer to stalk others. 
 

Google Releases Top 10 for 2014

The search giant winds up the year with a list of top 10 searches for the last 12 months. iPhone6 gets the position of top consumer electronics searches. Flappy Bird tops the list of gaming searches. Jennifer Lawrence overshadows Kim Kardashian in the most-searched people’s list. Robin Williams tops Google’s list of most-searched terms for 2014 - for global and the US list.

With a population of 2.4 billion people, the city of internet never sleeps. Every minute there's something  happening. Here's some interesting data that internet users do every minute online:

  • Amazon gets $83,000 in online sales
  • Apple users download 48,000 apps

Attendees at The Social Media Marketing World Conference in San Diego held last month received valuable lessons on social media - not through expert-led sessions but a gig titled “Let’s get social”. Mary McCoy from Continuum Managed Services gave the attendees a musical insight into the world of social web - from cats to hashtag fails. The song, a warm-up for a keynote panel led by Jay Baer (Convince & Convert) on the topic of "Have We Lost the Social in Social Media?", has created a considerable buzz online - for good or bad reasons that’s for you to decide! 

 

What Happened When Twitter Went Down?

Twitter went down Tuesday afternoon, and everyone flipped out. The service is restored now though. But tweeps who couldn’t access Twitter have taken to the social network, mainly posting their reactions when the service crashed.  #Whiletwitterwasdown trended on Twitter (quite an irony) and we dug into the conversations.
